INTRODUCTION
The Stadia:
Of course the Stade de France is the absolute highlight when speaking about French football stadia. Though, France offers many more nice stadia. Because of the World Cup in '98 many stadia where renovated. The top clubs in France therefore all have quite nice stadia, fully covered and with good facilities. Most stadia are totally seated; only some smaller clubs have standing places in their stadia.

French stadia aren't really famous for their great atmosphere. Though the atmosphere is not like in, for example, England, the atmosphere can be quite nice during matches which is mostly due to the fanatic fans of the clubs.

The stadia in France are usually quite large. Not many matches are therefore sold-out. Still, the big matches and some derbies can be sold out so pay attention when you are planning to buy some tickets.
HOW TO GET TICKETS

Club offices:
It is often possible to order tickets via the club. Many clubs give a special phone number on their site where you can buy tickets. Many clubs sell tickets at their office at the stadium too (billeterie).

The quality of the French club websites varies. Many clubs offer quite good information about the ticket sales, but there are also clubs that don't offer any information at all. There are some clubs that offer the possibility to buy tickets online, often via 'France Billet'.
